October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month and Mister Kleen is sharing information about four key behaviors that federal agencies are promoting.
These four key cybersecurity behaviors are:
This week we’re focusing on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which is sometimes called two-factor authentication or two-step verification.
MFA offers another layer of security by requiring a second method of confirming your identity when you log into your accounts. When you enable MFA, you are usually required to enter a code sent to your phone or email, or through an authenticator app. This helps prevent unauthorized users from accessing your accounts, even if they have your password.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency offers these easy steps for turning on MFA for your accounts and apps.
Through our Employee Security Awareness Program, also known as E.S.A.P., Mister Kleen enhances our employees’ security awareness by training them to better identify potential threats and vulnerabilities AND how to properly report them to their onsite supervisor and security personnel.
