Hello Spring! By following these four (4) cleaning (Kleening) tips you are sure to keep your office clean (Kleen) and healthy this spring!
KLEEN TIP 1 – CARPETS AND FLOORS:
Winters can take a beating on your carpets and floors with all the salt, sand, snow, dirt and debris tracked into your facility. While it is good to maintain your carpets and floors by performing regular vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping, it is even more beneficial to perform a deep cleaning to restore these areas.
Don’t be deceived by the appearance of your floors. Just because your floors don’t appear to be dirty, more than likely they are. This is especially true with the dirt and debris that is lying dormant inside your carpet fibers, or the dirt and debris trapped within the grout of your tile floors.
Ultimately, when you have a deep restorative cleaning done to your carpets and floors you will improve your indoor air quality and promote a healthier environment as allergens (such as mold, dust mites, and dander) are removed.

KLEEN TIP 2 – UPHOLSTERY:
While carpets and floors can get a lot of tender loving care (TLC) in the spring, it is imperative that your upholstery receives proper care as well. After all, who knows how much dirt and debris is within the fabric of your upholstery (or how many people have tracked in dirt and debris from sitting on your furniture) until you actually clean it.
Whether you have office chairs, regular chairs, ottomans, love seats, sofas, or fabric partitions with your cubicles, the spring is the perfect time to get these restoratively cleaned. Similar to your carpets and floors, having a restorative cleaning performed with your upholstery can improve your indoor air quality as you are extracting dirt, debris, and harmful allergens.
Here are three tips to clean your upholstery this spring.
KLEEN TIP 3 – CLEAN YOUR WINDOWS AND KEEP THEM CLOSED:
Pollen is just about everywhere in the spring. While it is nice to open up your windows to allow fresh air in, you could be putting yourself in harm’s way as pollen counts are at its highest during the spring season. Also, what’s worse is that you are now contaminating your carpets and floors (that you just had restored) with outdoor allergens making the inside of your facility dustier and your allergies worse.
Keep your windows closed and make sure you spend some TLC on cleaning the inside and outside of your windows as your windows truly are a reflection of your business.

KLEEN TIP 4 – CLEAN GUTTERS AND DOWNSPOUTS:
You may not realize it, but all those remnants from blooming flowers and trees can accumulate quickly and clog your gutters, down spouts and drains. Be prepared as spring and summer months can generate large amounts of rain, which can lead to a flood inside your facility.
Remember to clean all your gutters and down spouts at least twice a year. Also, check all exterior drains for debris on a bi-weekly basis, and if you have a sump pump make sure it is working.
If the unfortunate does occur with flooding inside your facility, make sure you inform your insurance company, take pictures, and call a reputable water restoration company to extract the water and restore your carpets and floors.
